Position Overview
The Technology team at SFM is seeking a Desktop Engineer to lead and optimize end-user computing environments. This role is critical in ensuring seamless desktop experiences through effective system management, automation, and the latest technology deployment.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in modern desktop management technologies, automation tools, and enterprise-level support.
Applicants should have knowledge with public cloud environments and the M365 suite.

Major Responsibilities
Lead the deployment and maintenance of Windows 11 across all corporate desktops and laptops.Administer and optimize PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory for software deployment and patch management.Automate repetitive desktop management tasks using PowerShell or equivalent tools.Develop and maintain Group Policies, Intune policies, and other desktop configurations.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues related to end-user devices.Partner with the Security team to implement and maintain endpoint protection solutions.Manage asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, and retirement of hardware.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement desktop engineering projects and initiatives.Document processes, solutions, and system configurations to maintain operational standards.Requirements
3-5 years of experience in desktop engineering or equivalent roles.Strong expertise in Windows 11 deployment and lifecycle management.Proficiency in using PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory.Experience with scripting and automation, particularly using PowerShell.Familiarity with endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM and PDQ.Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.Understanding of modern endpoint security tools and practices.Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a strong focus on user satisfaction.What We Offer
We anticipate the base salary of this role to be between $150,000-175,000.
