This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales and Program Management professional. The Sales and Program Management professional will be responsible for overseeing sales strategies and programs, creating plans to increase revenue, managing budgets, and collaborating with cross functional teams to develop, launch, and execute new products and programs. Serves customers by identifying their needs, engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. This role is located in Farmington, MI.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifies current and future customer business requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand business requirements.
- Provides product and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Create new business opportunities, business contacts developed, work under the
- direction of the Senior Sales & Program Manager and President to strengthen these relationships to gain future business.
- Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers, planning, and organizing sales call schedule.
- Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents, consulting with engineers.
- Follow up and provide feedback to Senior Sales & Program Manager and President.
- Review competitiveness with the customer on recently completed quotations.
- Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
- Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
- Prepares sales strategy reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales
- information and engineering and application trends.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Establish and maintain a working relationship with the customer’s product engineering and purchasing staff by performing timely visits and/or maintaining periodic phone correspondence.
- Prepares and maintains customer visit reports and sales records.
- Report sales activities (prospects, projections, strategies, program status, etc.) to Senior Sales & Program Manager and President.
- Evaluate product performance improvements or cost reduction possibilities and
- implement or manage appropriate action(s).
- Collect and analyze competitive information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline.
- Possess 3 to 4 years of experience and/or specialized in the automotive industry.
- Ability to travel locally, out-of-state, and internationally to customer sites and intracompany locations.
- Proven experience in sales, program management, and budget management
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated capacity for self-initiative and proactive problem-solving.
- Proficiency in collaborating effectively within diverse, multicultural teams.
- Advanced technical expertise in both product and process domains.
- Proficient in utilizing computer software, particularly Microsoft Office suite.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
