As Exovera continues to grow and expand beyond our core government and military clientele, we are seeking a senior level sales executive who is looking for an opportunity to join our team. The Vice President of Business Development is a senior executive role responsible for driving the company's growth through strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, and market expansion.  

 

The Vice President of Business Development is a senior executive role responsible for driving the company's growth through strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, and market expansion. This individual will work closely with the executive team to align business development strategies with the company's overall vision and goals. The Vice President of Business Development will be instrumental in identifying and capitalizing on emerging market trends, building relationships with key stakeholders, and leading a team of business development professionals.


Essential Job Duties

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities and craft strategies to enter and expand in these markets.
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate business development goals with the overall company strategy.

Partnerships and Alliances

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and finalize strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances that drive growth and revenue.
  • Work with legal and finance teams to ensure that partnership agreements are beneficial and compliant with company policies.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Analyze data to make informed decisions on business strategies and opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor the market landscape and adjust strategies as needed to stay ahead of competition.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the business development team.
  • Provide regular feedback, development opportunities, and performance evaluations to team members.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics and financial outcomes of business development initiatives.
  • Ensure that all business development activities are aligned with the company's financial objectives and risk management policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading business development initiatives and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience in negotiating and finalizing strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Strong understanding of market analysis and competitive intelligence.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • Results-driven and goal-oriented.

Work Environment

The Vice President of Business Development will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Travel may be required to meet with partners, clients, and stakeholders.
