2nd shift
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team for 2nd shift positions. This role offers a $0.50/hr. pay differential, bringing the base pay to $19.50/hr. If you're someone who prefers working in the the afternoon and evening, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Duration: Approximately 3 months with the potential to move to day shift (1st shift)
Position Summary
The Large assembler will read instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly to route and tie wires to form wire harnesses. With the use of Taping, Heat shrinks and occasionally looming wires to meet customer and internal standards and specifications.
Requirements:
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for accomplishing work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Responsible for assembling components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Responsible for verifying specifications by measuring completed components.
- Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks.
- Responsible for ensuring products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specification.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in the work area.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position and an advanced degree would be of benefit, but not required. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and experience in wire harness assembly would be of benefit, but not required. Effective interpersonal skills along with demonstrated oral communication skills are essential for this position. Demonstrated attention to detail, a self-starter needing little direct supervision, problem solving skills along with a high degree of attention to detail are required for this position.
Working Environment
Work requires physical effort divided primarily between periods of standing, walking, and sitting. The work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Lifting from 25 to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis is required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Other physical demands include crouching, bending over and reaching.
