Director of Quality
Job Summary
The Director of Quality is responsible for leading quality, infection control, and patient safety initiatives. This role ensures compliance with national healthcare standards and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement. The Director provides leadership, direction, and oversight to achieve organizational quality and patient safety goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for quality improvement, infection control, and patient safety.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Oversee policies, procedures, and accreditation processes.
- Drive employee engagement through training, mentoring, and professional development.
- Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Manage budgets efficiently and ensure cost-effective operations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field (Required).
- Master’s degree (Preferred).
Experience:
- 7 years of relevant experience.
- 3 years in a leadership role.
Certifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or willingness to obtain within two years.
