Senior Systems Project Engineer – F/A-18 E-F & E/A-18 G
Location: Berkeley, MO
Hourly Rate: $119,000-$118,000
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Project Engineer to support the F/A-18 Project Engineering Team. This role will serve as the primary technical liaison between the customer and internal leadership for Mission Computers Capability, ensuring the successful execution of development roadmaps and project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Engineering Change activities from proposal development through execution and contract delivery.
- Manage strategy for critical project decisions and development roadmaps.
- Coordinate with technical teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor and report on project cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
- Maintain customer relationships and serve as the key technical point of contact.
- Oversee project deliverables and ensure timely submission.
- Identify and mitigate risks while seeking opportunities for process improvements.
- Assess project performance and document lessons learned.
Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience collaborating across engineering disciplines (hardware, software, quality, and production).
- 5 years of experience in project leadership or program management.
- 5 years of experience communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Level 4: 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's, 7 years with a Master’s, or 4 years with a PhD.
- Level 5: 14 years of experience with a Bachelor's, 7 years with a Master’s, or 9 years with a PhD.
Preferred:
- Experience managing product/project lifecycles and Earned Value Management.
- Background in Avionics systems and fighter aircraft programs (F-15, F/A-18, etc.).
- Strong skills in engineering excellence, safety, leadership, and communication.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance (preferred but not required).
