Job Description
We are currently looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician to support the high growth ambitions, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installation and repair of equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance, service, and safety checks on machines and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns or malfunctioning/broken equipment.
- Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
- Fabricate parts for machine repairs and upgrades.
- Provide assistance in new production equipment installation.
- Inspect/Assess functionality of production equipment, building and grounds, warehouse.
- Provide information and/or reports to management with regard to maintenance of systems.
- Knowledge of PLC logic and ability to use ladder logic to troubleshoot
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience Requirements: Degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent field experience preferred. Must have 2-4 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance technician role.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to independently execute tasks and escalate issues as needed.
- Intermediate computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, combined with strong project management capabilities to meet company deadlines and milestones.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions; no effective weather protection.
- Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Fingering-picking, pinching, typing; working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand.
- Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading.
