POSITION TITLE: SITE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: TECHNOLOGY SERVICE MANAGER
TYPE: SUPPORT SPECIALIST HOURLY
WORK YEAR: 12 Month, July 1 through June 30, 7.5-hour workday
JOB SUMMARY/ACCOUNTABILITY: To provide network and end user support. Install, upgrade, and configure workstations and mobile devices. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs workstation hardware, printers, and other peripherals.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree or equivalent. Requires two years’ experience in the field or related area. Previous experience as a site technician required. Must be familiar with a variety of the standard IT concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to maintain a service-oriented attitude to assure maximum computing utilization; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential; ability to lift and move computer equipment required.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibility for maintaining administrative and instructional hardware, software and to provide appropriate and timely end user support.
Must be knowledgeable in:
Computer operating systems Internet and Intranet
Computer hardware TCP/IP connectivity
Systems integration Strong networking skills
Proficiency in a variety of software and applications
Responsibilities:
Establish short and long term goals
Identify, research, troubleshoot technical problems
Install new software releases, system upgrades, and any patches as needed
Maintain data files, monitor system configuration and activity to insure data integrity
Maintain current virus detection and protection measures.
Performs any other duties assigned by the Technology Service Manager.

Very heavy work: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects
