Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy
- Record financial transactions accurately and promptly
- Maintain orderly and up to date accounting records
- Be experienced in general ledger/journal entries
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized records
- Be detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks
- Ability to work with a team and indepentently
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
- Familiarity with tax preparation and financial report writing
Skills
- Knowledge and practice of basic accounting principles
- Strong math and logic skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work effectively in a team setting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, highly preferred
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly 2 years of QuickBooks and Quicken.
- Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, payroll, and account reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and tax regulations is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
