We are looking for a new Outreach Coordinator to support the executive team of a green construction and clean energy training program in New Rochelle, New York. This program offers vocational training in construction, clean energy, and other related sectors vital to New Rochelle residents. Candidates should be local and knowledgeable of the area, as this role will require significant community engagement with in-person events and activities.
An Outreach Coordinator is a professional who works directly with the community to promote the social, economic, and educational benefits of our programs. As an Outreach Coordinator, your job duties will involve identifying community needs, developing outreach initiatives, and tracking progress. This position combines administrative responsibilities with fieldwork, including direct interaction with the public.
As an Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping to attract and recruit participants into the construction training program in New Rochelle and other training opportunities. You will ensure that candidates possess the necessary skills for the program and job placement. A few of the main duties of an Outreach Coordinator include testing the skills of program candidates, conducting program interviews, assisting candidates with enrollment into the program, and developing relationships with industry and community partners. Outreach Coordinator Responsibilities :
- Using various software, including Word, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
- Managing public relations by developing strategic relationships, attending career fairs, and conducting informational presentations at universities, nonprofits, clubs, and civic groups.
- Attending and coordinating events for outreach purposes.
- Collecting and analyzing data on program demographics, developing results, and presenting conclusions to relevant departments.
- Managing and maintaining candidate information databases.
- Advertising for, screening, and recruiting participants, providing them with guidance and support, and tracking their progress.
