Sound Retina is the premiere retina practice in the South Sound region, providing innovative, compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with vitreoretinal disease.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position will report to the Director of People Operations and will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee evaluation, leave management and employee relations. This position requires a strong understanding of the full breadth of human resources functions. The Human Resources Specialist will contribute to creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties
- Manage the full cycle of talent acquisition, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage data collection for reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with employment labor laws and OSHA regulations in all HR practices.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Leave Management
- Utilize HR software tools such as Platinum HCM for efficient HR operations.
- Manage LMS, Certifications and other employee development functions
- Provide support for employee relations issues, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.

- Proven experience in human resources is essential.
- Familiarity with talent acquisition processes and performance management best practices.
- Strong knowledge of employment labor law
- Strong understanding of Washington Paid Sick Leave, Paid Medical Leave and FMLA
- Proficiency in HR software systems
- Experience with data collection and analysis to inform HR decisions.
- Experience with Learning Management System
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with co-workers, management, and doctors.
- Interacts with each team member and co-workers in a manner that promotes positive working relationships.
- Must have good oral and written skills
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.

- Typing speed 45 WPM accurately
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Associates in HR preferred
- Coursework and/or certification Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a full scope HR function required
- Healthcare experience a plus
- Change management experience (LEAN, Six-Sigma) a plus
