Job Summary
The Senior AI / ML Engineer will be part of the R&D team at Masimo with focus on design and creation of next-generation health monitoring devices, working on creating new non-invasive measurements, enable measurement technologies to be applied to new applications, and facilitate the design and creation of next-generation medical devices. It is a cutting-edge research and development opportunity with the potential to improve people’s lives by solving real-world problems. The key focus will be in analyzing data from different sources to discover relationships among various measurements and medically relevant conditions and developing computational models for disease diagnosis, detection and prediction of critical events.
Responsibilities will include working with data from continuous streams of invasive and non-invasive sensors, electronic medical records as well as speech / audio and image / video. The Senior AI / ML Engineerwill also closely work with our software, hardware and systems teams to ensure an efficient deployment in Masimo products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI and ML models to solve complex problems.
- Responsible for algorithm design, development, implementation, testing, and documentation for Biomedical Signal Processing systems.
- Develop new advanced signal processing algorithms using digital signal processing, machine learning techniques, deep learning algorithms, optimization and numerical modeling in MATLAB, Python or similar software.
- Design, train and evaluate machine learning models using large datasets.
- Prototype new ideas / technologies to create proof of concept and demos.
- Contribute to the organization’s strong drive to be on the cutting edge of technology through the generation of patentable ideas.
- Work with cross-functional teams in the R&D group, including hardware and software engineers.
- Effectively communicate with engineering and marketing teams.
- Design clinical studies to collect physiological data from human subjects, perform data collection and analysis of physiological data.
- Carry out statistical analysis of clinical data.
- Implement physiological parameter measurement algorithms on embedded systems.
- Deliver high quality software design, documentation and implementation
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Education : M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field required.
