We are seeking a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist (CPRP) to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
Job Summary/ Description: We are seeking an experienced Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to work directly with adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental health disorders to support their recovery and enhance their independence. The CPRP will focus on promoting skills development, improving quality of life, and empowering clients to achieve their personal goals through structured rehabilitation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on clients' strengths, needs, and goals.
- Facilitate group and individual rehabilitation sessions focused on skill-building in areas such as daily living, employment readiness, and social interaction.
- Provide support in identifying community resources and navigating systems, including housing, education, and employment services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, medication prescribers, program director, Admin support staff, PRP Authorization coordinator, and PRP counselors, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Monitor clients' progress toward rehabilitation goals and adjust plans as needed.
- Advocate for clients and ensure their active participation in the rehabilitation process.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions. 6 sessions notes monthly by the counselors and services provided.
- Ensure compliance with program policies, state regulations, and CARF accreditation standards.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain thorough and organized records of authorization requests and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with insurance company guidelines and regulations regarding PRP service authorizations.
- Update and maintain databases or systems used for tracking authorization processes.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality assurance activities related to authorization processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in authorization procedures.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures related to PRP authorization.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a valid Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist (CPRS) certification.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a psychiatric rehabilitation or mental health setting, preferably working with adults.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, rehabilitation principles, and community resources.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $47.00 per hour
