Job Description
The Technical Account Manager will be part of the Sales team, primarily responsible for building a positive relationship with our clients, as the relationship owner and organizational point of contact on named enterprise accounts. The main objective of this position is to increase client lifetime by ensuring our clients remain satisfied with the services we provide, while developing new Sales opportunities, and providing technical and strategic guidance to our clients. This is a client facing role which requires excellent communication, responsiveness, and organization skills along with the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with named VIP Managed Services accounts.
- Establish strong relationships with key contacts and develop rapport.
- Communicate effectively with senior management / IT / C-level executives.
- Uncover and analyze key business challenges / drivers for clients; translate into product requirements that will satisfy their demands.
- Lead regularly scheduled meetings with clients, which may include on-site visits.
- Work with assigned clients to develop a deep understanding of their technology environment and product / service needs.
- Provide direction on complex Project Engagements and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities within an organization.
- Cross-sell additional solutions (telephony, business apps, etc.) within existing accounts.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to clients.
- Develop budgets for clients in accordance with their needs and desired business outcomes.
- Perform technical client presentations and demonstrate the capabilities of our solution set.
- Process requests for service and products details from clients and provide timely responses.
- Prepare Statements of Work for project implementations and other Managed Services.
- Provide technical specifications for quotes / proposals; prepare accompanying materials.
- Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of our product and service offerings.
- Resolve client issues, alone and through collaboration with other IIT teams.
- Work closely with Solution Architects and other members of Sales, as well as our Professional Services division.
- Partner with the Client Success and Operations teams to improve processes and documentation to ensure effective service delivery.
- Manage and respond efficiently to all internal or external requests.
- Drive a culture of quality through the end-to-end process needed to deliver value to our clients.
- Act as an internal advocate for our clients.
- Achieve performance targets.
