Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing pipelines. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. The Pipelayer will work primarily on construction sites, collaborating with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of pipelines for water, gas, and oil.
- Utilize concrete forming techniques to create stable pipeline structures.
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, bulldozers, forklifts, and front loader trucks to assist in digging trenches and moving materials.
- Use pipe lasers for precise alignment of pipes during installation.
- Dig trenches and holes for pipeline installation using hand tools or heavy machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Direct operator in the excavation of trenches to grade bottom.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to maintain operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential; experience with loaders, bulldozers, forklifts, and front loader trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
