What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painting-Blasting Technician position at Source Engineering?
ROLE: Painting and Blasting of equipment and assist in the Assembly of various pieces of equipment
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep a clean and organized work environment.
- Receive and communicate essential information, coordinate actions, obtain input, review open issues and action items, and contribute information to the team.
- Maintain shop equipment as needed for a safe working environment.
- Painting and Blasting of Equipment and machine products.
- Effectively manage an area in the shop and work well with others
HOURS: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Able to follow instructions and the ability to be trained
- A sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Able to participate in a group planning environment
- Able to perform basic tasks including assisting with the assembly shop, measuring, use of basic shop tools
- Able to perform basic tasks including measuring, milling, and cutting with shop tools
- Ability to read blueprints and recognize symbols and specifications
- Both verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems
- Willing to work in the cold, dusty, and uncomfortable conditions
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, walk and perform repetitious movement
- Able to lift 30-40lbs, and not to exceed 50lbs
