The Fabrication Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring that production, quality, safety, and scheduling requirements are met efficiently. This individual will manage both the technical and physical aspects of the shop while supervising a dedicated team. Strong leadership and fabrication experience are essential.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience with Fabricated Ductile Iron Pipe, Fittings, Valves and Flanges used for industrial piping systems and/or water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Previous management experience desired.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems as needed.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The ability to troubleshoot operational issues, evaluate and procure equipment, manage equipment maintenance, and make proactive improvements to processes.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to industry safety standards.
