Cold Heading Set-Up Operator
1st & 2nd shift
Up to $40/hour based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Cold Heading Set-Up Operator to join our team! This role involves running and maintaining production equipment, specifically cold heading and roll threading machines, to meet daily customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot single and multi-blow cold heading machines.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) before and after tooling changes.
- Ensure parts and tooling meet blueprint specifications.
- Inspect and repair tools, dies, and setups as needed.
- Perform machinery adjustments to maintain quality production.
- Load coils onto spool racks and safely operate a lift truck (license preferred).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Mentor and train less experienced operators.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret safety and operational documentation.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience operating and setting up cold heading equipment.
- Experience in the fastener industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (with assistance for heavier items).
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods.
This is a first-shift & second-shift position with competitive pay up to $40/hour based on experience.
