What We Are Looking For :
This is a unique opportunity to become the Operations Manager for a fast-paced trucking and logistics company. As the Operations Manager you will supervise the daily activities of the operations team, maintain workflow, schedule routing, staffing and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Your Responsibilities :
Supervise and support the Operations team as directed by the Director of Domestic Operations & IT, Logistics Director, and / or President.
Act as the SME providing direction and leadership ensuring daily tasks are completed.
Ensure daily tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently and effectively by the Operations Team.
Assist with the implementation of operational improvements to enhance departmental performance.
Communicate effectively with individuals and groups to assist customers and facilitate their needs.
Collaborate with the Director of Domestic Operations & IT to provide Rush / Hot Pricing, ensuring cost targets are met and profitability is maintained.
Assist with tasks on Fridays to ensure routes are prepared for the upcoming week.
Process the "Felts Not Shipped" report on Fridays to verify correct freight routing and prevent omissions.
Review routes weekly to assess profitability, delivery timeliness, and scheduled pickups.
Develop, document, and maintain department processes, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Participate in the on-call rotation as needed (typically one-week shifts).
Provide backup support for routing as needed.
Perform any other duties as directed / assigned by the Director of Domestic Operations & IT or other member of the Leadership Team.
Qualifications and Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree (Business / Logistics) (preferred)
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Logistics, Transportation, Dispatch and Management roles
Minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience
Intermediate MS Office Proficiency
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in logistics software and systems
Highly proficient with prioritizing tasks
Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
