Job Title: Logistics Sales Executive

Overview: The Logistics Sales Executive plays a vital role in driving business growth by leveraging your sales expertise, competitive spirit, and proactive mindset. This role focuses on identifying, soliciting, and securing new business opportunities, requiring high energy and a results-driven approach. Collaboration and teamwork are essential to success in this position, along with a strong passion for the logistics and transportation industry.

Experience in the logistics/transportation industry is required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out and engage new business prospects through targeted lead generation and outreach methods, including cold calling, networking, and other prospecting strategies.
  • Develop new business by identifying potential clients, conducting thorough research, analyzing customer needs, and creating value-added solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Evaluate customers’ transportation needs and propose solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Set pricing targets and coordinate with the Carrier Team to ensure competitive and effective pricing strategies.
  • Visit prospective and existing clients at their corporate offices or other sites as required. Travel is necessary to meet customer needs and establish relationships.
  • Manage account health by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue quality, identifying additional opportunities, and ensuring contract adherence.
  • Meet with customers to discuss business needs, identify scope, present proposals, finalize contracts, and close deals.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify industry trends and business opportunities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively connect with clients over the phone and in person.
  • Proven ability to develop forward-thinking sales plans that align with business strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes and the ability to analyze customer activities, profiles, and needs.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting or exceeding established targets.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities with a focus on turning challenges into opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • High energy, driven, and ready to take on challenges.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales environment with a proven track record of success.
  • Transportation brokerage experience is preferred.
  • Background in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management is required.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage decision-makers effectively.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be within a commutable distance to Rutherford, NJ.
