Position Overview :
We’re seeking a licensed Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our small independent agency dynamic team. In this role, you’ll support business clients by answering coverage questions, handling policy renewals, and ensuring they have optimal protection. This position requires a strong knowledge of commercial insurance and the ability to work collaboratively to serve as a trusted resource.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process commercial new business, rewrites and renewals in the Applied / Epic System and review commercial new business when received
- Process and inform customers of advance policy notice cancellations
- Mail new business policies to the insured as needed (if not delivered by the agent or carrier)
- Invoice customers when premiums are due and receive and process payments
- Process over-the-phone endorsements / claims and process certificate of insurance
- Answer incoming calls as a back-up to the agency receptionist as needed
- Maintain knowledge of carriers including Acuity, Liberty Mutual, West Bend, Auto-Owners Insurance, inc.
