SourcePro Search, LLC is conducting a search for a Quality Assurance Engineer for a prominent global law firm.
The QA Engineer is a key member of the Enterprise Platforms Group within the Information Technology department and will participate in various phases of software development and implementation life cycle. This role will work with stake holders and other developers on the team in a consultative fashion to understand all business requirements & software architecture / designs.
Job Description
Participate in meetings with stake holders and business users to understand project requirements.
Work with development team to review business requirements so that requests and needs are part of the project implementation.
Create specific test plans and use cases for each project based on understanding of the needs and wants of the Stakeholders.
Able to use automation as well as manually test the software / project using the test cases previously described to test functionality from an End User Perspective.
Log the identified bugs / issues in JIRA and work with developers to issues until a resolution is found.
Experience
Test automation using Selenium.
Ability to write / understand SQL queries to validate data accuracy, consistency and integrity.
Experience in Content Management and Distribution system testing.
Experience in database and web services testing.
Cross Device and Cross Browser testing experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring client and staff satisfaction through proactive communication.
The ability to meet critical deadlines in a high pressure work environment.
Expresses a strong initiative to work in a team environment to bring about project goals and deliver results.
Ability to work in both a self-directed and team environment.
Willing to take direction while also bringing new and innovative ideas to the team.
Self-motivated, resourceful, independent and eager to learn new technologies.
Perform 'Does it make sense' kind of testing.
Ability to identify consistency issues (UI / UX, functionality, different ways of implementing same functionality) within the project.
Qualifications
Must be comfortable in both Mac and Windows based platforms.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a QA Engineer.
Experience with Agile development and source control tools (e.g. Team Foundation Server) is highly preferred.
