What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Specialist position at South Bend Medical Foundation Inc?
Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of purchasing, receiving, and distribution areas. Acts as the primary contact between the internal departments and outside vendors.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent with two years previous purchasing experience. Stockroom experience helpful.
NetSuite experience preferred, but must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel and Word.
Ability to effectivity communicate verbally and in writing
Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Should possess demonstrated negotiation skills as well as analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Requires the ability to handle cumbersome freight items as well as the physical work necessary to process inventory.
Standard Schedule:
Monday - Friday primarily working 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; approximately 40 hours per week.
