Experienced Veterinary Technician
Location
South Bosque Veterinary Clinic is a small animal clinic who proudly serves the Waco, Texas community. Home to a small-town, no traffic vibe, with easy access to big city events and entertainment. Practice Overview
South Bosque Veterinary Clinic is a seven-doctor practice who fosters a team-oriented, encouraging work environment. We believe in the power of strong communication and collaboration. Our staff has found success by not only helping one another professionally but supporting each other in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our hospital is fully equipped with digital radiology, in-house lab equipment, ultrasound, a two-table surgical suite, and a two-table dental suite.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Engaging and communicating with clients in a professional, friendly demeanor
- Educate clients on proper preventative care for their pets
- Getting and maintaining patient medical history information
- Assist the doctor with patient treatments, procedures and activities
- Monitor patients during surgeries, dentals or other treatments and report observations to doctors
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, serums or treatments under guide of doctor
- Aide in care of all hospitalized pets
- Assist with taking digital radiographs
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift 40 pounds required
- LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) degree highly preferred but not required
- At least one year of prior veterinary experience required.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- 1-2 Years of Veterinary Technician Experience Preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
