What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Clerk position at South Campus Athletic Club?
We are looking for a front desk representative at our gym facility to work our afternoon and closing shift. Individuals must be self-motivated, punctual, attention to detail, great customer service, able to multi-task, and be able to lift 50lbs. Shift would be Wednesday through Friday 2 -11pm.
Job Duties:
*Sign up new members.
*Answer phones.
*Clean around the gym.
*Check in members manually.
*Cancel memberships.
*Handle monetary transactions.
*Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell memberships.
*Learn about gym equipment and safe ways to operate equipment.
*Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
*Manages and resolves all member complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
*Enforce gym policies.
*Maintains member's privacy.
*Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
*Performs other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
*Previous gym employment experience preferred.
*Ability to communicate with public, gym staff, and management in a professional manner.
*Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
*Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
* Skilled in the use of office equipment.
*Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
