About Midlands Regional Center
Midlands Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Columbia, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides custodial services to Midlands Center as assigned. Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as prescribed. Reports to work on scheduled days at the assigned time.
Ensures that areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
Develop a good working relationship with housekeeping staff, as well as with the other departments to assure that housekeeping can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work that is directly related to the area of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED. Must possess a valid SC Driver's License.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
