Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and experience in information technology, electronic technology systems, or other related areas. An associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

- Under general supervision, provides pc, printer, and network support throughout the agency.
- Duties include routine configuration, administration, maintenance, and support for file, print, email, internet/intranet, and terminal servers as well as both local and wide area network hardware/software.
- Develops and provides support for all agency PC applications running in standalone and networked configurations.
- Serves as a member of the network group team, providing tier 1 and tier 2 support to end users and assist other tier 1 and tier 2 technicians as needed.
- Utilizes remote support tools and facilitates the coordination and escalation of support tickets to other teams are necessary.
- Troubleshoots issues with agency and third-party software and hardware, to include windows desktops and laptops, tablets, cell phones and printers.
- Performs software and OS upgrades.
- Monitors tickets queues and provides solutions to service requests and incidents, providing the best end user customer service while adhering to all state, agency and office standards, policies, and procedures.
- Communicates with customers to ensure resolution is to SLA and customers' satisfaction.
- Works closely with the service desk and end user support teams to identify necessary and needed support documentation.
- Creates new documentation and ensures existing documentation and knowledgebase are current, accurate and usable for Implemented technologies.

- Three (3) years’ experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sale or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment;
- A high school and five (5) years, experience in office automation systems, data communications systems design, installation, operation, repair, sales, or marketing or processing of information in a data processing environment.
