About Midlands Regional Center
Midlands Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Columbia, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities :
Under general supervision from the Staff Development Instructor / Training Coordinator II this employee serves as one the instructors for Staff Development. The instructor will coordinate our new employees in-service training classes and annual training for the center's employees. The instructor will assist in the coordination of activities associated with Volunteer Services.
Coordinates New Employee Training for the facility.
Serves as facilitator and / or content expert for selected programs such as Therapeutic Options, Defensive Driving, First Aid and CPR etc.
Assists in managing all aspects of Midlands Center Volunteer Services activities.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation.

State Disaster Plan : In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
