This posting will be used to fill multiple summer internship positions in the Department of Transportation District 3 Construction and/or Maintenance offices located in Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, and Oconee Counties.
In The Area Of Engineering, The Responsibilities Include
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
Applicants must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a two-year college or university program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management.

- Assists in the areas of surveying, construction, inspection and/or material sampling and testing.
- Assists roadway inspectors in the inspection of roadway construction, including areas of asphalt paving, earthwork, base, drainage operations, and concrete placement operations.
- Aids with office duties, preparing construction reports and daily work reports in Site Manager, assists with reconciling quantities to close out projects.
- Assists survey parties, uses surveying equipment correctly to measure elevation, distance, and set vertical and horizontal controls.
