Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes and ensuring timely collection of payments from patients and insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate clean claims to insurance companies.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and collections.
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of billing and collection activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Answer phone calls and call back log from patients assisting them with billing inquires.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
