Performs routine first assistant duties as well as specifically delegated duties according to The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assist in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment. ONCALL Certified Surgical Tech OR Full Time Weekend Rotating Position Requirements: Education: 1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred 2. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Experience: 1. One or more years experience as a Certified Surgical Assistant preferred. Other Qualifications: 1. Maintains current certification as Certified Surgical Assistant. 2. Maintains current BLS certification.
