Summary:Join our dynamic team at Novant Health as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in our Neurology practice. In this pivotal role, you will provide direct clinical support in a fast-paced medical office environment, working closely with our physicians and healthcare providers. You will be essential in ensuring patients’ comfort and safety, as well as maintaining a clean, organized workspace that aligns with our high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Assist in evaluating patient needs and contribute to creating individualized health plans.
Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation in the patient’s medical record, adhering to our practice’s charting policies, with a focus on neurology diagnoses and treatments.
Clinical Support: Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
Care Coordination: Schedule specialized consultations, coordinate appointments for diagnostic testing, and manage follow-up care as directed by physicians.
Patient Education: Provide patients with detailed information regarding their care and help address their questions and concerns, with a focus on educating patients about management, prevention, and treatment.
Education & Experience:
Required: High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a physician's office setting is preferred.
Certifications:
Required: Current Medical Assistant certification and CPR certification.
