We are currently looking for a licensed PTA to join our Moncks Corner team
JOB TITLE: Physical Therapist Assistant
Reports to : Clinic Director
***Please note, you must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of SC to be eligible for this position
Responsible for patient care under the direction of Physical Therapist. Supervises aids in direct patient care and related activities as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provides physical therapy treatments according to the physical therapists’ treatment plan.
- Communicates with manager and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems or plans.
- Records daily treatment notes, portions of monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries timely and completely.
- Maintain patient records confidentially.
- Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.
- Supervises Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested.
- Complies with the South Carolina State Physical Therapy Act.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
- Maintain work area, exam rooms and supplies.
- Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
- Follows all of South Carolina Sports Medicine policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
- Keep regular clinic hours as approved by Rehab Director.
- Attends meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
