What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Coordinator position at SOUTH CENTRAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING CTR?

Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and evaluate clinical staff to include performance appraisals; clinically supervisor case manager and attendant care workers assigned to office. Provide supervision to practicum students;
2. Conduct intake assessments, outpatient therapy, evaluations, and assist with crisis when other staff are unavailable;
3. Consult and advise Clinical Director;
4. Effectively collaborate with all departments within the MHC;
5. Promote SCMH's mission within the community and participate in community events as needed;
6. Responsible for Utilization Review;
7. Conduct the initial recruitment and selection process for clinical vacancies within the office;
8. Work with Clinical Director on the Annual Needs Assessment;
9. Advice Clinical Director of fiscal needs at time of budget development and assist with clinical planning throughout the year;
10. Program development based on community needs as served by that office inlcuding implementation of CCBHC standards;
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
Physical, Educational, and Personal Requirements:
Physical: Hear, speak and write English clearly. Vision adequate to observe clients and make chart entries.
Education: Defined by license type; see staff credentials.
Personal: Detail oriented, good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and ability to supervise staff members.
Other: Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency insurance guidelines as this position requires ability to drive to agency centers and local community partner sites in order to meet the needs of consumers and the community. Pass a criminal background and driver's license check to the satisfaction of SCMH
