What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional(s) II – 12 month position at South Coast Educational Collaborative?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Participation in a mentor program that focuses on Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS), Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Supports (SCERTS), collaborative problem solving (CPS) and Deeper Learning approaches. Work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomesParticipate in person centered team meetings to develop individualized programing for studentsMaintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goalsAssume classroom responsibilities in absence of teacherParticipation in daily duties, as assigned by teacher(s) within the SCEC site, as well as within general education settings.Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including 1:1 assistance and inclusion opportunitiesProvide support to students in community and inclusive settingsReinforce academic concepts to help students achieve their academic goalsWork with general education staff to support students with inclusion opportunitiesEMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Participation in mentoring/training sessions across Collaborative programsOpportunities for job mobility: on-going career counseling; training opportunities; degree/licensure programs; other professional development opportunitiesPost job offer Physical Examination
