What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at South Coast Educational Collaborative?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with SCEC policies
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to children and adults;
Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to
learn and participate
Assumes responsibility for supervising students both in- and out-of classroom settings
Follows professional practices consistent with SCEC policies in working with students, students’ records,
parents/guardians, and colleagues, including maintaining the confidentiality of student and school personnel
information
Completion of mandated SCEC professional trainings, including but not limited to Bullying Prevention, Crisis
Prevention Intervention (CPI) and Ethics.
Performs other related duties as assigned by program administrator(s) in accordance with SCEC policies
and practices.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate, and in conformity
with state certification requirements.
