What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at Rhode Island School for the Deaf?
Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:
1.Assumes responsibilities in teaching pupils utilizing a course of study adopted by the RI School for the Deaf curriculum publications as guidelines in teaching individual course content.
2.Consults, as appropriate, with the Administration before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the lesson plans.
3.Maintains records, as appropriate, including checking test papers, recording grades, student assignments for homework, projects and the necessary clerical work required to maintain student records for a teacher who is absent.
4.Provides for individualized and small group assistance for students as indicated by lesson plans.
5.Any other job duties as assigned by the building Administration.
