Dakota State University is seeking applications for a Advancement Services Specialist. The position ensures accurate processing of gifts given to the University foundation and updates donor records. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Advancement Finance & Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing and/or stewardship of all gifts.
- Assist with accurate and timely gift acknowledgements, receipts, and thank you letters.
- Maintain all general information on the Foundation web pages.
- Executes the accurate processing of checks, credit cards, and electronic funds transfers for unrestricted and restricted gifts.
- Coordinates monthly employee payroll deductions with Payroll Officer, reconciles batch, and makes monthly deposit.
- Processes special handling of non-routine deposits.
- Records donors’ pledges, tracks outstanding pledges, and produces pledge reminder letters to donors and reports as appropriate.
- Maintain and update Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database and monitor for data integrity.
- Assist in coordinating meetings and logistics for volunteer boards. Represent and encourage the culture of philanthropy at DSU, within the DSU community, and greater constituencies.
