The Mining Engineering and Management Department at South Dakota Mines invites applications for an instructor position within the OSHA Training Program. This is a non-benefited, part-time position with a 14.25% effort level. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in developing training materials and team-teaching OSHA training classes.
The OSHA Training Program, housed within the Department of Mining Engineering and Management, is a cooperative training program for the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The program provides training in compliance with OSHA training plans. Employees in this program must demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and proficiency in delivering training that comply with 29 CFR regulations for both General Industry and Construction.
Applicants must hold OSHA Instructor Certification in both General and Construction industries.
