What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refinery Technician position at South Dakota Soybean Processors?
The Refinery Technician will be trained to produce refined and bleached, food-grade soybean oil products from crude soybean oil that meet required product specifications through monitoring and adjusting instrumentation. Primary Responsibilities
- Perform all duties as assigned and required to operate the refining process in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete the necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of the refining process and production.
- Communicate any process problems that may occur and participate in troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain designated sanitary schedule to SDSP standards and be in compliance with SDSP's Safe Quality Food (SQF) food safety program and polices.
- Continuously learn, building knowledge, skills and experience within the department while achieving KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)
- Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed to support the team and overall organizational goals.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Be a good steward of company resources.
