To successfully pursue our vision, we are looking for a skilled individual to serve as Grants and Communications Coordinator who can assist the college to grow and enhance its research profile. The broad and specific responsibilities of this position are outlined in the following sections. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. This position is a 12 month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with faculty and staff in the COE to ensure grant applications are complete and meet SDSU (internal) and sponsor (external) compliance and submission requirements.
- Identify and inform the College about appropriate upcoming funding opportunities.
- Ensure timely submission of grant proposals from the College.
- Work closely with research administrators, including SDSU’s Office of Research Assurance and Sponsored Programs, Research Compliance Coordinator, Grants and Contracts, and College / Department / Unit staff to execute and to identify areas of improvement in grants and contracts submission processes.
- Contribute to faculty proficiency in grantsmanship and must be or quickly become well-versed in pre-award research administration (including application formats for electronic submission such as Grants.gov and other sponsor channels).
- Coordinate, administer, and manage content creation and promotion of college-specific media on social media channels including YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Serve as liaison with University Marketing and Communications (UMC) for brand conformity and consistency with SDSU policies on all College-related communication.
- Maintain and update College’s webpage content in accordance with SDSU policies.
- Coordinate and assist with content creation for newsletters, graphics, and design assets as and when necessary.
- Assist with the college’s outreach activities.
