Day Shift: Monday-Friday 5am-3:30pm (Some weekends)
Wage range: $30/hr-$34/hr
Training directly with the Quality Control Manager, this specialized and key role plays multiple roles for the division. The overall goal is to continue to have the highest level of QC for all the Division’s product lines. Terminal Forest Products (TFP) is a leader in quality, and the largest producer of Western Red Cedar globally. Our customers consistently rely on us to deliver in a timely manner, with the highest level of quality.
Mandatory Qualifications:
1. Safety leadership with a safety-first mind set.
2. Daily requirement to lead and deliver plant-wide the Selco Quality Management System. This system provides checks and balances on all production lines and ensures the highest standards of quality are being met before packaging and sending to our valued customers.
3. Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role – Supervision.
4. Experience in the forest products industry with a strong comprehension of finishing from Molders, planers.
5. Solid understanding of value-added business, recovery, yields, grading fundamentals.
6. Production scheduling/planning.
7. Continuous improvement/process improvement mind set.
8. Strong belief in an accountability-based work environment, setting goals/targets, auditing on a regular basis, sharing results, and sharing in successes.
9. Mindset that improvements in all facets of the business or needed, changing with the times. Seeking out new opportunities/improvements for the business.
