Job Title: Substitute Cafeteria Worker (Floater)
Location: Itinerant between all School Buildings
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Substitute Cafeteria Worker to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their daily tasks and is comfortable working across different locations within our organization. The Substitute Cafeteria Worker (Floater) will assist in all aspects of cafeteria operations, filling in for staff in different positions as needed. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and ready to support a team while maintaining a positive and efficient dining experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Food Preparation: Help in the preparation of meals and snacks, following health and safety guidelines.
- Serve Food: Ensure food is served in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Support Multiple Locations: Float between various buildings and cafeteria areas, stepping into open positions such as food service, dishwashing, or janitorial duties.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Follow cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure all food service areas are kept clean and safe.
- Inventory and Stocking: Assist in restocking food items and supplies as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to all customers, responding to inquiries and handling concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and cafeteria staff across multiple buildings to ensure smooth operation.
- Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or cafeteria work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to float between various buildings and adapt to changing tasks.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift to 25 lbs., and handle busy environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule.
