South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is a thriving, private orthopaedic practice serving patients along the Treasure Coast. As our practice continues to grow, we have new Front Office opportunities available in our Treasure Coast offices, located in Stuart and Port St. Lucie (Tradition).
This position is in a high-volume, fast-paced medical office environment supporting physical and occupational therapy services.
Job Summary:
- Greets all patients and family members to the office
- Complete the check-in/check-out process, including collecting co-pays and scheduling appointments
- Complete daily reporting of reconciliation of charges, fee tickets, and payment methods, post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Prepare charts for daily schedule
- Heavy phones – inbound and outbound calls with patients
- Familiar with insurance verification and authorization and posting charges.

Requirements:- Must be friendly and professional, organized and patient-focused.
- Able to successfully work with a variety of personalities and work styles.
- The demonstrated ability to provide superior patient service and be a productive member of the team in a high-volume, fast-paced, patient-facing work environment is essential.
- Prior medical office experience required including front office responsibilities, scheduling, verifications, and authorizations, preferably for a physician group.
- Experience in orthopaedics and/or physical therapy is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of insurance plans and workers comp.
- Solid computer skills, and EMR experience strongly preferred.
- Strong math skills with attention to detail.
- Must have reliable transportation and be available for flexible scheduling to cover shifts in all locations.
Physical Demands:
- Primarily sedentary, sitting.
- Use of general office equipment – keyboard, mouse, monitor, telephone, headset, scanner, copier
- Periodic lifting, stooping, carrying less than 25 lbs.
