POSITION SUMMARY
Perform and provide personal secretarial and professional assistant to the Cardiovascular Services Administrative Director. Greet visitors, answer phone and direct calls to appropriate person. Receive and disseminate information as appropriate. Prepares correspondence, generates reports as required. Assists with special projects. Promotes team spirit and excellence. Maintains all policies and procedures, manuals, handbooks, etc. for department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High school diploma, preferred.
- Prefer three to five years of experience as a secretary.
- Ability to work independently, ability to pay attention to detail in a repetitive task and ability to work quickly and efficiently under stressful situations are required.
- Good organizational skills and typing a minimum of 60 words per minute with less than 1% error rate are required.
- Substantial knowledge of word processing skills is required. Experience with Micro Word and software is desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Surgical Services office and administrative areas. Safe working environment, possibility of irregular work hours upon request. Involves walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and bending. Must be able to operate office equipment, computer terminals and keyboards. A moderate amount of stress at times.
