Anticipated District MTSS Coordinator (Grant-funded Position/24-25 School Year-Only)
Certifications:
●Required: RI District Level Administrator or RI Building Level Administrator PK-12
●Preferred: RI Special Education Administrator
The District Multi-Tiered System of Supports Coordinator will:
❖ Develop, lead, implement, monitor, and collaborate with other educators in the districtwide integration of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework
❖Lead multiple teams to implement and enhance an MTSS framework
❖Manage, analyze, and utilize data to ensure that tiered interventions are in place that are responsive to the needs of our students
❖Train and provide ongoing professional development to school-based teams and staff on MTSS
❖Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Student Services on planning and implementing meaningful, relevant staff meetings and staff development
❖Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent and school based administration to ensure the implementation of early intervention supports and strategies in grades PreK-12.
❖Collaborate with the Director of Student Services to support special education teams in using MTSS data as part of IDEA referral and the LD ID process
❖ Provide meaningful professional development to decrease disproportionality in identifying students with disabilities
❖Evaluate staff using Rhode Island Evaluation Model as directed
❖Collaborate with the coordinators, specialists, and other staff to promote consistency with Personal Literacy Plans, MTSS plans, Intervention Blocks, Data Days, and other components of an MTSS framework
❖Perform any other duties deemed necessary per Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Director of Student Services
