The Sage Business Analyst will oversee the development, implementation, and use of Sage x3 application and supporting technology throughout South Mill Champs enterprise. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems, manufacturing, and traceability, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and leading organization-wide efforts to improve the effective use of technology. This person supports IT and is responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of all financial and ERP technology systems. This person is expected to learn emerging technologies and resolve any issues involved in integration of Sage and new technologies with existing systems.
The Sage Business Analyst is a key technical resource, providing advice, training and technical support for various projects and process improvement. This position also works closely with the CIO and peers in evaluating current systems and aligning business objectives with the strategy for technology and security.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.
- Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
- Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to users and support staff.
- Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring and oversight of daily, monthly, and quarterly financial systems and databases.
- Develop and contribute to policies, procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, purchasing, and service provision as they relate to financial processing
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex software problems on organizations financial computer system
- Provide troubleshooting support for escalated software and hardware problems with Sage ERP environment. Coordinate vendor assistance when required.
- Knowledge of database management and maintenance
- Respond to after-hours system problem calls. Travel to branch locations as needed
- Review, prioritize, and process problem reports; document the progress of projects.
- Maintain systems compliance with South Mill Champs security policies and procedures.
- Provide Strategic Planning information to Management.
- Play key role for Disaster Recovery planning.
- Design, review and test new functions and capability to Sage system based on interviews with end-users and departments
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- BS or BA degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related technology degree.
- At least five years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. A directly related higher degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for up to two years of experience.
- Sage or other financial system certification or 5 additional years of field experience.
- Ability to work productively in teams.
- Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Must be flexible and be willing to work additional hours as needed.
