Manage employees of the Cold storage facility including World Fresh and TMC who process, package, receive and stage all product for distribution and sale and who sort any range of produce, all in a safe and efficient manner. Coordinates the movement of product and supplies from Packing to Receiving, Shipping, Transportation, TMC and Cold Storage. Oversees the maintenance of the Cold Storage Material Handling equipment. Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the production equipment and rooms. Also is responsible for the professional development of Supervisors, Line Leaders, Lead Receivers and Operators.
Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Some traveling may be required.
Experience with daily Mushroom supply and demand management.
Job DescriptionRole and Responsibilities
Maintain efficient Supply Chain on all products including mushrooms and Cold Storage products using FIFO logic. Accurately record daily labor hours and yields, conduct monthly Safety Meetings.Operate in a manner that is compliant with Federal, State and internal food safety standards.Maintain the equipment and the Production Room.Train new employees and counsel existing employees on how to work safely and efficiently.Ensure the accuracy and quality of all products produced.Always manage conflicts with a professional and positive attitude.Make reasonable and effective decisions in a fast-paced work environment.To ensure that Cold Storage building is adequately staffed and that the employees are always working safely and efficiently.To be the first line for the employees to take their concerns, ideas and problems to.To keep their manager informed of any employee issues that come to his / her attention.To effectively manage up to 100 employees.Ensure the Entire Cold Storage building is maintained and ready for all internal and external audits as well as Logistics back and forth between TMC and Cold Storage are done in the most efficient way possible.Conduct monthly Safety TrainingConduct GMP training, monitor weekly KPI'sCoordinate with Sanitation to ensure the room and equipment is properly sanitized.Ensure representative attend required meetings i.e food safety and Level 3.Calculate labor hours for production runs.Monitor the daily KPI's.Notify Management of any breakdowns or equipment needs.Preferred SkillsComputer Skills : Ms Office, KPI MonitoringSupply Chain & Inventory Management : Logistic CoordinationFood Safety and Compliance : Federal, State, GMPs, AuditsTeam Supervision : Management, Conflict Management, Problem ResolutionPhysical DemandsAlways required to speak and comprehend both English and Spanish.Always required to sit, stand or walk.Always required to see with or without corrective lenses.Frequently required to utilize fine motor coordination in hands and arms.Frequently required to lift up to 10 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 20 poundsOccasionally required to balance, stoop or crouch.Occasionally required to climb stairs.Work EnvironmentAlways required to act professionally.Occasionally exposed to a variety of temperatures, weather conditions and sound levels.Occasionally exposed to hazardous conditions requiring personal protective equipment.Work EnvironmentAlways required to think, evaluate, and make decisions.Always required to speak and comprehend English, Spanish or both.Occasionally required to analyze, study, compare and report.Regularly required to plan and strategize.The offer for this position could be contingent and may be subject to screening such as MVR, Physical and Non-Regulated Drug test
