- Position Summary:
The DC Manager will oversee all aspects of the Distribution Center, including efficiency improvement, sales development, monitor margin and workplace productivity, facility and vehicle maintenance as well as food safety with guidance from the Food Safety Director.
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least three (3) years of previous customer service experience required.
Food customer service/distribution experience preferred.
Previous sales experience preferred
working knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Must always present a professional appearance.
Provide leadership and guidance including recruitment and training for all operations personnel on Company procedures and policies to ensure adherence to a" company Federal, State and Local municipalities to ensure a safe work environment
Oversee all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce order processing times
Implement inventory management best practices to minimize shrinkage, obsolescence, and damages.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
Drive a culture of innovation and continuous learning to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient workflows and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching/mentoring, and implement training programs as needed.
Coordinate with area managers to execute company strategy.
Responsible for Financial Analysis, Budgeting & inventory Control
Develop comprehensive KPI reports and implement continuous improvement plans to drive process improvement,
Provide direction and input to the company based on experience, market intelligence and manufacturing knowledge.
Willingness to work Weekends and Holidays as needed
Job Demands
Physically capable of performing the job requirements; including but not limited physically inspecting trucks and raw materials. Capable of walking extensively outdoors in all weather conditions.
