Support Care Professional - Full Time

Pay Range: Starting at $11.52/hour up to $15.19/hour with experience in this job field.

• Position Summary: This position is for Direct Care Workers (Support Care Professional) on our Men's Psychiatric Unit which houses 29 males and our Women's Psychiatric Unit which house 21 females.
• We are looking for males or females that are dependable, respectful, compassionate, team player, and have good communication skills. We prefer candidates with experience working with adult patients with mental illness. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Care Professionals to join our team. As a Support Care Professional, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and assistance to our patients, helping them with daily activities and promoting their overall well-being. * Responsible for working with male/female adults diagnosed with a mental illness.

* May lead or monitor patient education groups.

* Document patient activity throughout the day.

* Take vital signs.

* Observe and assist with recreation therapy.

* Constantly monitor patient activity.

* Other duties as assigned.

Currently we have openings on our B shift which is 3:00pm to 11:30pm and one opening on our C shift which is 11:00pm to 7:30am. This is a Full Time Position. You are required to work every other weekend and Holidays.

Experience / Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License is required with proof of auto insurance.
• Prior experience in a caregiving, support, or healthcare role is desirable, but not required – we provide comprehensive training for all new hires.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
• Physical stamina and strength to assist clients with mobility and perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
